How to transfer or migrate an existing user base over to a joomla installation automatically

This snippet is useful in situations where you have a website with an existing user base that you want to move over to a joomla based installation.

There are four main tables that we are going to update: jos_users, jos_comprofiler, jos_core_acl_aro, jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map

Note that this assumes that you have community builder installed. If you are not using community builder, then updating the jos_comprofiler table is not necessary.
